Job Vacancy For Ullage Supervisor at an Indigenous Downstream Oil and Gas Company

A reputable indigenous downstream Oil and Gas Company in South-south Nigeria, as a result of expansion and new business opportunities, we seek for immediate employment professionals with cognate years of experience, strong academic credentials and the right attitude to work who will deliver value to stakeholders, for the position below:

Job Title: Ullage Supervisor

Location:
South-South, Nigeria

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for determining the amount by which a container falls short of being full of the product.
  • Ensure that the vessel ullaging, temperature and water check in the product are properly carried out and in the process of calculation of cargo quantity, report any loss of cargo.
  • To carry out cargo reconciliation and out-turn receipt with other participating surveyors and government representatives.
  • During trucking, to carry out daily shore tank measurements before and after the day’s operations
  • Ensure that all loaded trucks are properly ullaged at the ullage designated area and to conduct random checks on loaded trucks and make sure that the acceptable receipt quantity by trucks are maintained.
  • Supervise proper sealing of loaded trucks, within 5 minutes and ensure such truck leaves the premises within 10minutes after loading to avoid congestion.
Qualifications and Experiences
  • Minimum of B.Sc. Second Class (Upper Division) / HND Upper Credit in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Laboratory Science /Technology, or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ullage of a tank farm with preference for petrochemical products and lubricants
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline and certifications in Quality or Operations management/HSE would be an added advantage.
