    JOB OVERVIEW
    The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial health of the Company, business analysis, producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research. Also responsible for guiding management in financial decision making to ensure the business is financially successful in line with the organization goals, objectives, mission, vision, and values.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations within the company and directs corporate financial planning and structure;
    • Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants;
    • Work with the CEO and other Heads of Department to influence the creation and communication of the company financial strategy;
    • Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement;
    • Review financial reports, monitor accounts, and prepare activity reports and financial forecasts;
    • Manage the production of monthly, quarterly and full-year consolidated financial results and reporting;
    • Analyze and make recommendations regarding investment that will help in achieving the company's financial goals;
    • Manage entire budget process, planning and cash forecasting;
    • Effectively manage payroll along with the HR department, control the accuracy of the financial data of the payroll;
    • Develop a system for the maintenance of financial records, making use of current technologies;
    • Post data into financial systems, ensuring that financial information is processed accurately and generates timely and reliable reports; implement collective rules and communicate internally;
    • Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinates activities with outside audit firms and review the firm’s performance;
    • Prepare and ensure prompt remission of all statutory payments including VAT, PAYE tax, and pension contributions;
    • Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company;
    • Advise management on cost reduction measures;
    • Coordinates, analyzes and reports the financial performance of the firm to Management and Board of Directors;
    • Embrace and drives a culture of continuous process improvement across the finance functions and the wider business;
    • Assess the financial teams training needs and ensure prompt bridging of identified gaps by informing HR of relevant training programs;
    • Ensure all financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and financial regulations.
    • The primary driver of financial effectiveness and efficiency;
    • Ensure adherence to defined Human Resources (HR) policies and procedures;
    • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis for senior management as requested;
    Perform other duties as requested.

    EDUCATION
    • Minimum of a masters degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CPA
    WORK EXPERIENCE
    Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience in Accounting, Finance Reporting, Budgeting, Investment Advisory, and Finance Regulatory

    KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
    • Proficient with MS Office suite especially Excel and other corporate software (QuickBooks, SunSystems, SAP, Sage, etc.)
    • Advance knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
    • Good understanding of local financial reporting and tax principles
    • Knowledge of the principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration

    Job Responsibilities
    • He/She shall be responsible for financial and management reporting of the operations in close collaboration with the Executive Director of Finance and the Business Team.

    Qualification & Experience Requirements
    • A Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
    • Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics.
    • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA etc)
    • Minimum of 10 years “hands-on” working experience in providing a whole range of financial services within a structured organisation. With Three (3) years' experience working at a strategic management level in an ICT Organization.
    • Experience using computerised information management system (Ms. Word, Excel, Accounting/Statistical analysis software, Procurement management system etc.)
    Skills & Abilities:
    • Proven ability to interpret financial procedures and standards and put them into practice and influence others in their implementation
    • Excellent English Language (oral and written) and report writing skills
    • Good leadership skills: experience of working in a supervisory position with a team structure

E-WASH will provide technical assistance to and will work in collaboration with state governments to improve urban water service delivery by strengthening the governance, financial, and technical viability of six (6) state water boards (SWBs) in Nigeria. The overall goal is improvement of urban water and sanitation service delivery. Finance Assistant - 2 positions Job Description The Finance Assistant is responsible for the day to day accounting function of the Project.

She/he will be utilizing the appropriate accounting system and following proper accounting procedures to disburse, account for, and report usage of funds. Essential Duties Process payments for staff travel advances, ensuring advances are liquidated on time and accurately Prepare payment vouchers in support of payments for project activities and suppliers invoices confirming such payments are in accordance with the laid down procedures and policies, accurate, complete, adequately supported by all underlying appropriate documents, correctly coded to appropriate expenses and tracking code and project code Provide support in compiling and submission of the monthly financial reports package for the project Maintain petty cash and making petty cash payments Make payments to workshop participants (including travel and meals refunds) as designated by the supervisor Process checks for suppliers and employees Keep track of expenses and other financial transactions, mainly involving expense entry, tracking and record keeping Support QuickBooks data entry Ensure adequate filing of finance documents Performs other duties assigned by the supervisor Minimum Required Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related fields and 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
