We are a multiproduct maritime logistics booking platform with an integrated finance solution empowering businesses in Africa. We aggregate demand and supply of end-to-end maritime logistics services, and back it with working capital, in Africa’s trade and energy industries.

What You’ll Do

You’ll -

Keeping all accounting records and books for the Company.

Preparing monthly income and expenditure account. Format to be provided to you, which you may wish to adapt.

Working with the commercial team to raise invoices and send to clients.

Following up with clients to ensure outstanding invoices are settled promptly.

Keeping schedule of invoices raised for ageing analysis purposes.

Preparation and filing of all statutory tax returns for the Company.

Working with the CEO and CCO on any other finance-related task that may be assigned.

Posting of Transactions on software

Preparation of P& L and Cashflows

Reconciliation of Cashflows and Revenues

Payroll Management Services

Tax Advisory Services - Withholding Tax, Value Added Tax and others (not mandatory)

What you’ll bring

Experience

A minimum of 3 - 5 years of professional hands-on experience with technical expertise and professionalism

Required

Accounting degree from accredited University

ICAN certification (preferred)

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software

In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures

Solid knowledge of accounting regulations

Excellent data skills with an attention to detail

Job Description

The Credit and Collection Officer is responsible for processing the loans, monitoring the loan portfolio and developing the Lendha clientele.

He/she will also be responsible for developing the savings and deposits portfolio for the target groups.

  • Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits.
  • Meet with loan applicants to identify their needs and collect information for loan applications.
  • Ensure all loan requirements inclusive of charges are properly communicated to clients and all documentation duly completed, executed and submitted.
  • Conduct credit checks on clients
  • Confirm status (Physical state, valuation etc.) of asset/properties used as collateral by customers.
  • Analyse active loan files on a regular basis and recommend solutions to speed up the loan process.
  • Submit loan applications in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all approved loan are disbursed timely.
  • Loan Repayment Follow Up
  • Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels and cross-sell products and services to accomplish quotas

About Relationship Manager

Our agents are the lifeblood of our business. The goal of the relationship manager is to ensure the agents have a smooth experience using our platform everyday we believe that if this is done well revenues is assured. These roles require building relationships with our agents, understanding the nature of their business, their plans and an affinity to help them solve any problem that could lead to loss of business on a day to day basis for the agents.

Success at this role is defined by revenue assurance, we believe if the agents are happy they’ll keep their business with us.


What you will be doing

  • Analyzing each agents business pattern to come up with what their performance should be (daily, weekly, monthly)

  • Ensure all support tickets raised by our agents are responded to swiftly

  • Ensuring that agents feel special on their special occasions, Kudi anniversaries, birthdays etc.


What it takes to succeed

  • You need to be a good communicator

  • You need to have empathy and willing to help our customers

  • You to work with other teams like POS support, engineering, product

  • You need to have basic excel skill or data analysis skills.

  • You need to have 2years+ customer service experience working in the financial service or telecoms sector.


While this is not a requirement, it would be a plus if you have some of the following skills:

  • Experience in a high-growth tech startup

  • Experience working in agent banking
