Roles and Responsibilities
  • Coordination and making arrangements for official travels/trips, including bookings, obtaining of visas, itineraries and residence / work permits for expatriates (if required), etc.

  • Scheduling and making arrangements for meetings, appointments, conferences, and assembling necessary requirements and resources.  Managing Outlook calendars as well
  • Provision of support to management in attending to requests or enquiries
  • Managing time reporting, expense reporting, procurement, reconciliation and retirements
  • Authoring or creating documents, spreadsheets and presentations
  • Resolving both routine and complex administrative problems
  • Taking initiative in programme/project planning, development, and execution of agreed work plans within established time frames
  • Training and providing effective coaching, feedback and motivation to entry-level staff in the division/unit
  • Coordinating with other staff/team members regarding general business/office activities to ensure proper understanding of agreed goals/firm objectives

Qualifications and Skills
  • A good first degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a reputable institution
  • Possession of a Certificate in Secretarial Studies or a similar certification will be an advantage
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant post-NYSC experience, preferably in a similar position in a multinational
  • Demonstrable competencies in corporate services

  • The Young Water Fellowship Program is our flagship program, and it aims to empower young leaders from low and middle income countries to implement projects to tackle water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH), water pollution and water scarcity issues, by offering them an intensive training program, seed funding grants for their projects, and mentoring support by senior level experts during one year.
  • Each year, this program brings about 10 young community leaders capable of successfully designing and implementing sustainable and inclusive water initiatives that significantly improve living conditions in their communities, while contributing to the achievement of SDG #6 (water and sanitation for all).
  • In 2018, 2019 and 2020 the YWF will have a special focus on social entrepreneurship. Young people with social businesses ideas (or projects that can be turned into social businesses) that address water-related issues are welcome to apply.
Training
  • Fellows attend Cewas’ Start-up training and are trained by experts in: IWRM | Project management | Business | Water and gender | Pitching | SDG 6 among others topics
Mentorship
  • Fellows are assigned water and business mentors according to their needs, who provide technical support and guidance.

Project Implementation
  • Fellows are provided with opportunities for seed funding up to €5000 to pilot their initiatives

  • Lead  communications with the employees for both scheduled and unscheduled services
  • Keep employees informed of status, timing and options for support and ensure customer satisfaction through continuous status information sharing.
  • Engage in every issue and work on behalf of the client to get the issues resolved within the SLA.
  • Study ticket trends and develop and communicate educating material through available channels such as the company intranet and the help and support system.
  • Assist in constantly creating and improving processes and procedures as it relates to employee support
  • Escalate any Service  Desk Team concerns to the IT Management team for resolution.
  • Assist in disseminating information including maintaining and updating technical calendars, updating employee information.
  • Submit weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for measuring help desk service levels, as required.
  • Identify root problems which may negatively affect the helpdesk service delivery and notify the IT Management team, with recommendations, as identified.
  • Coordinate workshop repairs, stand-by equipment and procurement for all working tools provided by IT
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in IT helpdesk or IT customer support environment is mandatory
  • Bachelor's degree in IT preferred
  • ITIL Certification and Zendesk knowledge is an added advantage.
  • A good understanding of computer networks.
  • Ability to work with different operating systems i.e MacOs, Windows and LINUX
  • Training in Help desk and systems and  processes is an added advantage
  • A good grasp of technical installations and willingness to learn

Job Title: IT Manager

About the Role
  • IT Manager position will be responsible for running company wide systems.
  • You will be responsible for designing, planning, implementation and overseeing administration and maintenance of network infrastructure within Andela including network security as per established policies.
  • You will also oversee systems administration tasks for Andela systems as well as asset management.
  • Reporting to the Director of IT, the IT Manager is responsible for building and maintaining reliable network infrastructure and maintaining essential IT operations for Andela.
Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure:
  • Design, plan and implement Andela’s IT infrastructure as per set standards
  • Implement network security at the location as per established policies and standards.
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure.
  • Recommend areas of improvements.
  • Ensure 99.9% network availability for the location.
Internal Systems:
  • Manage administrative user roles and permissions as per set guidelines
  • Provide regular updates on utilisation of all internal system resources.
  • Work with other teams to help maintain and manage Internal Systems.
Helpdesk Administration:
  • Define SLAs for all tickets assigned to the IT department.
  • Provide first line of response to all escalated tickets.
  • Interact with internal clients at all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and respond in a timely manner.
Assset Management:
  • Build and maintain vendor relationship and manage the purchase of hardware and software products.
  • Ensure that company assets are maintained and inventoried accurately.
People Management:
  • Lead, without Micromanaging a team of IT systems administrators and Network engineers
  • Carry out people performance evaluation as per set guidelines
Security and Compliance:
  • Work in a global team to ensure ISO and SOC activities are effectively executed
  • Recommend and implement network and systems security solutions
Cost Management:
  • Effectively plan and budget for the IT department
  • Monitor expenditure within the department
  • Recommending cost effective solutions
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10 years’ experience in IT. 5 being in a managerial role for a big company.
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computing or related field.
  • A good understanding of computer networks, a Cisco or any other network certification is required.
  • Security certification and/or experience with ISO/SOC certification will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with different operating systems i.e MacOs, Windows and Linux
  • Experience working with cloud based systems
  • Understanding of helpdesk systems is essential.
  • A good grasp of technical installations and willingness to learn
  • Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B/SaaS Product Management
  • 4+ years in direct line management and managing and reporting on operational KPIs
  • Extremely comfortable in the language of data analysis, and using data to drive decision making
  • A track record of developing feedback loops between users and Product Managers, and utilizing research to improve user experience and business metrics
  • Well-versed in core concepts related to UI/UX, including direct experience in both qualitative and quantitative analysis, A/B testing, wire-framing, prototyping, developing user feedback loops etc.
  • Keen attention to detail, ability to be self-sufficient and find creative solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to a broad range of audiences particularly in a distributed environment

About the Role
  • As Andela engages with the continent’s top technologists, you will play a key role in attracting, talent mapping, sourcing and hiring key high calibre technologists across Africa, and filling mission critical roles which drive Andela’s growth and impact.
  • You are familiar with a wider range of sourcing and talent attraction techniques, across active sourcing on social media, databases and Boolean searches, as well as leveraging referrals and internal mobility/applicants.
  • We are looking for someone who understands how to build a pipeline through online sourcing tools, and understands how to quickly engage and progress candidates through the recruitment process. You must be highly organized and capable of prioritizing work with little guidance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Source top talent online to build a funnel of qualified candidates for a quickly scaling and dynamic global team;
