Job Description

• The successful candidate will coordinate all financial activities of the company including planning, budgeting and forecasting in order to facilitate optimal returns on funds invested in business operations.
• She/he will be reporting to the Chief Operating Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise accounting functions and preparation of financial statistics and reports.
• Establish and maintain accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data is available for business operations and planning
• Coordinate the budget preparation process and support Heads of Departments in the formulation of cost management measures.
• Oversee the prompt administration of monthly payrolls, staff allowances and benefits.
• Oversee tax remittance, payment of insurance premiums and other statutory fees.
• Prepare weekly reports and submit to the Group Head, Treasury and Financial Control, the Chief Operating Officer (COO)and the Group Head, Strategy and Corporate Performance Management
• Liaise with external and internal auditors for the smooth performance of audit operations and deal with any queries from the auditors
• Perform other functions as may be requested by the Chief Operating Officer

Qualifications and Experiences

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related discipline (Second Class Upper Division/ HND Upper Credit)
• Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience, 4 of which must have been in a management position of a reputable organisation
• Relevant professional certifications e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) , Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or its equivalent
• A postgraduate degree in a related discipline would  be an added advantage
• Expert knowledge of statutory financial reporting and GAAP, IFRS
