Job Title: Head, Marketing & Business Development
Location: South-South, Nigeria
Details
- To generate new and viable business ideas that will impact on bottom line and increase market space for the company’s products.
- Investigate proposed business opportunities to ensure that they are in line with corporate strategy
- Perform regular assessments to determine profit potential of new and existing markets, considering sales and expenditure statistics.
- Maintain relationships with external contacts e.g. project vendors, service providers, etc.
- Assess the potential of new and existing locations, considering statistics and expenditures and make recommendations to management for implementation
- Establish distribution networks for products and services, initiate market research studies and analyse their findings, assist in product development, and evaluate the marketing strategies
- Advise management on market indicators, product design, pricing and product performance
- Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions through focus groups and market research
- Oversee the design and production of marketing collateral and promotional programmes e.g. adverts, online campaigns, corporate websites and liaise with the relevant suppliers to deliver them
- Perform other functions as may be requested by the Chief Operating Officer
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class(upper) /HND (Upper Credit) in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or any other relevant discipline
- Minimum of ten (10) years cumulative experience in the Sales and Marketing department of a reputable company with at least 4 years in a managerial role
- Professional Certified Marketer (PCM), CMMP (Certified Marketing Management Professional) or an equivalent recognised professional body
- A relevant postgraduate degree with a specialist focus on Sales and Marketing
