Job Description

• Ensure drilling operations are conducted in accordance with ''Industry Best Practice'' and compliance with the company health, safety, security and environmental requirements.
• Responsible for Well AFE cost estimation required for the execution of the yearly work program in all the assets.
• Provide guidance on the pursuit of well documentations / permit from DPR and NNRA based on the yearly work program.
• Responsible for monitoring rig service contracts ceiling and expiration dates to ensure valid contract is in place at all times prior to the execution of the business plan. Evaluate Vendor’s performance at the end of each well and feedback to Corporate Drilling for subsequent service award. Support Corporate Drilling function in Contract development and process improvement.
• Prepare and manage workover, drilling and completion operations programs in line with the Well Delivery Process for well execution. Support engineering by ensuring a well location is adequately prepared in readiness for well operations.
• Responsible for day to day running of drilling, workover and completions operations across the assets to achieve well objective and delivery within budget.
• Ensure timely approval of service contractor’s PRs, POs, WCCs and invoices during well program execution to facilitate the prompt payment of service contractors and provide all the required documentations in readiness for the yearly well performance review with partners. Accountable for the delivery of quality PRs, POs & WCCs across the assets.
• Support Asset D & C presentation at Subcom, Tecom and Opcom during yearly well budget and performance approval request
• Accountable for the documentation of lessons learnt on each project to improve the drilling and completion performance in all the assets. Ensure after action review meeting is organized to finalize the lessons learnt from each project in the assets. Participate in the audit of drilling and completion operations.

Qualifications

• A Degree qualification in Engineering discipline.
• Management / supervisory skill set.
• Excellent technical and communication skills.
• A minimum 15 years industry experience with an Operating Company.
• Highly experienced in the drilling industry, with relevant experience in supervising and managing drilling operations onshore and offshore.
• International experience, preferably West Africa and/or Overseas.
• Well known in industry drilling community with a wide network of operator and supplier contacts.
