Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:

Job Title: Employee Relations/Planning Manager

Description
  • Manage employee relations specialists and assist the General Manager in developing and overseeing organisational employee relations strategies, processes, and practices
  • Design, plan, and implement the organisation's employee relations programmes, policies, and procedures; ensuring policies are consistently applied as they relate to employee relations Implement key strategic initiatives and programmes to support culture change and efficiency
  • Provide guidance to departmental managers, supervisors, and employees regarding laws, regulations, policies, procedures and practices related to ER matters
  • Work with the Legal Department to identify and anticipate future legal changes and understand and plan for the impact on ER practice
  • Manage relationships with staff council to ensure industrial harmony, liaising between department managers and staff council (JCC) representatives.
  • Drive engagement surveys and implementation of survey data.
  • Analyse business plans to determine likely future staffing needs
  • Develop Planning models to enable future needs to be determined accurately
  • Advise the Organization on the staffing implications of new policies, products and services
  • Coordinate HR input into disciplinary & performance management process, and facilitate staff grievance handling
  • Effective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinary, issues performance management, employment tribunals, grievance and absence management
  • Develop and use existing networks so that  ER plans and practices are benchmarked against best practice and other organisations
  • Represent Company  with external bodies such as NECA/OPTS, NAPIMS, Ministry of Labour & Productivity
  • Analyse and interpret people related metrics to identify trends and inform the development and improvement of ER policies and processes, management activities and employee engagement
Qualifications
  • A relevant Labour relation/ HR tertiary qualifications - minimum of 12 years industry experience.
Primary Skills:
  • Administrator, Human Resource Manager, BSc, Business Management, MS Office, MS Power Point, Oil & Gas, Operations.
