Duties: including
- Reporting to the Engineering & Construction Manager, responsible for the Contractor's activities related to fabrication and installation activities onshore and offshore in Nigeria
- Champion a "no incident" HSE mind set and deliver excellent HSE performance
- Provide leadership for the site team and for monitoring performance of site team members through the execution of the project
- Supervising that the facilities are built according to the specifications, quality requirements, and approved drawings
- Provide construction expertise during the Contractor's development of the fabrication execution plan/program and review critical items
- Ensure that the Contractor's fabrication and installation activities are planned and executed to safeguard the integrity of safety, health of personnel, and the environment
- Provide good communication and develop good working relationship with fabrication, operations, and commissioning personnel
- Ensure that the facilities are fabricated and installed in accordance with the project specification and the requirements of the Nigerian Authorities
- Ensure preservation and Planned Maintenance is performed in accordance with manufactures requirements and that completions database is updated with all records
- Supervise the offshore installation campaigns for subsea drilling template, flowline and umbilical installation, deck installation, and hookup of the facilities
- Identification of any interfaces having bearing on other contractors
- Supervision of key commissioning and performance tests
- Assist the Operations Team in executing the offshore commissioning
- Reporting of progress, deviations and areas of concern to the Engineering & Construction Manager
- Observe any threats to the execution of the work and assist the EPCI Contractor Management in formulating effective and timely remedial action
- Responsible for strict Management of Change and make recommendations to the Engineering & Construction Manager on potential Variation Orders.
- Ensure understanding, acceptance and visible commitment to HSE standards by the EPCI Contractor.
- Good understanding of Structural Engineering, fabrication, pipelay and umbilical installation engineering
- Proven record of delivering projects with excellent HSE, schedule, and budget performance.
- Highly effective communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, cross functional, multi-location team environment
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency on fast-track/fast paced projects.
- Ability to use structured processes in a fit-for purpose manner.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty and adaptable to change.
- Familiarity with Primavera and Microsoft Project scheduling tools and expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
