Corporate Finance Analyst

To support the Project Lead in executing and completing work streams required to commence full business operations of our clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and Review business plans and financial models; prepare investor presentations/ documentation, information memorandum, establish and manage due diligence data room
• Work with external legal counsel in drafting Investment Agreements & Transaction Agreements
• Support new business pitches ensuring delivery with sound situations-based offerings
• Support the conduct of confirmatory due diligence, documentation and negotiations on prospective infrastructure related pipeline transactions
• Assist in the preparation of operating manuals including guarantee policy, investment policy, risk management policy, financial management policy, procurement policy, code of ethics and business conduct and environmental & social management policy.
• Liaise with external advisors, financial consultants in relation to execution of respective deliverables
• Support the Project Lead in negotiating, structuring financial transactions documentation, with clear understanding of the structural elements of the deal
• Support the preparation of term sheets, necessary due diligence, financial modeling, risk analysis and mitigation in the structuring
• Conduct credit analysis and underwriting of debt transactions in accordance with underwriting criteria
• Sound understanding of debt capital markets, with experience in successfully executing and obtaining credit ratings for corporate debt issuance transactions in Nigerian debt capital markets
• Provideanyrelatedadministrativeandlogisticssupportfunctionsrequiredinthestart-upphaseof the business

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Requirements

• Familiar with guidelines and regulations governing the debt securities, investment regulation and credit transactions
• Excellent analytical and structuring know-how skills, good understanding of guarantee products, capital markets and its financial instruments

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time and work activities effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to engage effectively with bankers, clients, internal peers, inside/outside counsel, rating agencies, etc.
• Flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills
• Professional, enthusiastic attitude, team player
• Mastery of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, etc
• Good business/report writing and presentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of credit/financial advisory and/or debt capital markets experience with at least 2 years in conducting credit/financial analysis on financial transactions
• BSc. Degree in Finance or Accounting or any other relevant discipline
• Post graduate degree qualification in Law/Economics/Business/Accounting or MBA
• Should be an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Stockholders (ACS)
