    About the Role
    • The role is for an excellent storyteller that not only creates visually and high impact designs but intuitive and functional ones.
    • You’ll be an integral part of designing the future of Andela’s online and offline marketing platforms.
    • A background in shipping full-spectrum marketing campaigns and the gamut of marketing materials to a national and/or global audience and driving impactful results is a huge plus.
    • Work directly with the Digital Marketing Manager, to ensure quality content is produced to drive the goals of the marketing team and ensure high conversions across Africa by collaborating with the rest of the Creative Communications teams.
    Responsibilities
    • Design for consistent and seamless experiences across mediums that build our business and connection to our target audience across all Andela Locations.
    • Own the visual communication of the Andela brand across all digital channels and 360 Media.
    • Translate the Andela vision and values into brand elements that are cohesive, modern, and inviting.
    • Create brand assets such as logos, iconography, illustrations, color palettes, patterns and other design elements when needed. Work on a range of ambitious projects including, but not limited to, UI designs, content graphics, social media graphics, event collateral, print materials, internal collateral, infographics, storyboards, and illustrations.
    • Help the team produce its best work by clearly communicating brand guidelines regarding typography, color, layout, and art direction.
    • Ensure Andela's visual design and brand consistency in all assets by producing high-quality visual designs and illustrations or assisting the team with rules and templates to follow.
    • Stay informed about competitors, best practices, existing initiatives, past projects, and target audience research. Use data about the talent pool experience and research across all countries to improve designs across all digital channels.
    • Collaborate with senior leaders, marketing peers, and talent managers to translate vision, feedback, and ideas into workable sketches, wireframes, and full visual designs.
    Qualifications
    • A portfolio that showcases your design work (including a few large scale projects), as well as your design process, strategic thinking, and planning behind it.
    • Clear and strategic process for developing a brand marketing strategy
    • A history of shipping high-powered and visually rich marketing campaigns
    • Experience working on creative for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
    • Have outstanding organizational skills and experience building marketing systems as well as the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Work with stakeholders to ship brand marketing materials and campaigns that impact business goals
    • Articulate why specific creative decisions were made to stakeholders
    • Minimum of 4 years of working design experience (in-house experience preferred)
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Graphic Design or a similar area of study is preferred)
    • A thorough understanding of designing for digital platforms and advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch/XD
    • Exceptional skills and standards for typography, color, layout, storytelling, and detail in the design.

    People Operations Associate


     
    About the Role
    • Andela is seeking a People Operations Associate to work with the People team to build our organizational capacity and ensure we are creating an environment in which our staff can realize their full potential.
    • To be successful in this role, the right candidate will bring knowledge and experience in providing People generalist support for Andela Lagos across key functional areas, including employee relations and engagement, onboarding, operations and HRIS expertise.
    Responsibilities
    Service Delivery & Information:
    • Coordinate all People Team requests made through the People helpdesk.
    • Ensure day-to-day operations of People-related functions are addressed in a timely, efficient, and proactive manner. The objective is to deliver transactions in alignment with agreed HR service standards specifications. Maintain a response timeline in line with our Helpdesk SLAs.
    • Manage the collection of all employee documentation and ensure that they are adequately filed for background checks and audit reviews.
    • Coordinate and manage all activities relating to employee background/ reference checks.
    • Ensure that employee folders are up to date with the relevant employee documentations.
    • Data Integrity: ensure data integrity of all onboarding document from new hires.
    Pre-onboarding:
    • Coordinate and ensure that all pre-onboarding tasks are effectively executed with little or no blockers to employee induction.
    • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure that employee welcome packs and documentation are ready before onsite onboarding commences.
    Employee Engagement:
    • Onboarding:
      • Create and update an onboarding process document to guide the on-boarding process of new hires.
      • Manage the onboarding of new hires to ensure a seamless integration and optimise new hire productivity. Maintain an on-boarding rating of 8/10.
      • Run 30, 60 and 90 day check-ins for new hires and use this data to enhance the onboarding process from time to time. Maintain a satisfaction rating of 7/10 for each check-in period.
      • Collaborate with global onboarding leads in the drafting and creation of the Andela global onboarding processes, templates and presentation decks.
      • Identify process improvements regarding onboarding at least once bi-annually.
    • Support and propose suggestions that would improve employee engagement within the organisation.
    ACAPS:
    • Support and own the processes regarding the Andela Counselling and Psychological Services (ACAPS).
    General People Team support:
    • Drawing up necessary employee letters; e.g. promotion, visa, etc.
    • Proofread HR documents including audits, marketing information, and handbooks.
    • Handling the printing and scanning of People and employee documents into the People Team drive.
    • Handle other tasks as directed by the People Manager (Ops) and/or Director.
    Qualifications
    • BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences or its recognized equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
    • Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Working knowledge of office equipment such as photocopier, scanner and printer.
    • Good understanding of office management procedures.
    • Critical thinking, analytical mindset and problem solving skills.

    Product Design Intern


     
    About the Role
    • We're looking for a talented, highly-motivated Product Design Intern to join the Apprenticeship Product Team in our Lagos office.
    • As a Product Design Intern, you will work on multiple products and gain experience on the job within a 6-month period.
    • You will gain valuable exposure working closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, Engineers and Product Stakeholders.
    Roles and Responsibilities
    You will work with the Product Designer to:
    • Create high-quality UX/UI designs
    • Work closely with engineers to ensure proper implementation of final designs
