Job Purpose/ Key Objectives:
• The Offshore Asset Development Manager oversees all development activities for the Company's offshore opportunity. Asset consist of blocks within shallow and deep-water currently under exploration, appraisal and development with an estimated in-place P50 4 -10 MMboe.
• The jobholder will directly influence appraisal activities, subsurface modeling and development planning. He/she will report directly to the Chief Technical Officer and is part of the deep-water development leadership team.
• The jobholder will be expected to develop and maintain an up-to-date understanding of the subsurface as new data is acquired, lead the subsurface team in maturing the development options through the maturation funnel through to Final Investment Decision (FID).
Job Knowledge/Skills/ Educational requirement:
• Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• MSc or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Job Knowledge/Skills/ Educational requirement:

Experience
- Experienced technical professional, with a minimum of 15 years' experience in one of the core Petroleum or Production Engineering disciplines, including senior technical responsibilities.
- In-depth knowledge of petroleum engineering theory and practice.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Solid grounding in Petroleum Engineering and the fundamentals of Geoscience and a good understanding of the risks and technical issues associated with subsurface, wells and surface development opportunities.
- Strong technical foundation with the ability to work independently, as well as challenge and support others.
- Well-developed communication skill with ability to interface well with Partners and regulatory bodies and ability to work in an integrated multi-disciplinary and diverse cultural environment.
- Drilling and production experience is essential.
- Candidate must have well developed inter-personal skills and above all must be a team player, capable of drawing together a diverse group of individuals from different cultural backgrounds and a proven track record for generating opportunities and delivering business results.
- An ability to work under pressure and to tight time scales is essential.
- Good knowledge of standard drilling engineering software.
