Job Title: Geoscientist

Location: Lagos

Position Description

• The Geoscientist will provide regional, block and prospect specific evaluation to the Niger Delta through the integration of all data sources
• These include seismic interpretation, facies interpretation, well log, outcrop and other regional geological data, hydrocarbon charge interpretation, petrophysical analysis of rock and fluid properties.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate estimation of exploration prospect in place volumes and reserve applying standard prospect risking using appropriate software;
• Working with reservoir engineering colleagues to apply appropriate reservoir parameters
• Close collaboration with drilling colleagues will be required to ensure all relevant geological data is incorporated into drilling plans and the execution of drilling
• Provide recommendations for bid proposals, well proposals or farmin proposals based on a synthesis of

Desired Qualification/Preferred Competencies

• University Degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in Geology or Geophysics
• At least 5-7 years working experience in seismic exploration and appraisal subsurface evaluation of workstation based 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and evaluation of interpretation of well log and other regional geological data
• Experience in generating well proposals and monitoring and driving exploration well delivery in a variety of geologic settings.
